Malacañang issued on Sunday a memorandum on the suspension of work in government offices and classes in public schools at all levels in NCR, Regions I, II, III, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA, V, and CAR on Monday, September 26, 2022.

MEMORANDUM CIRCULAR NO. 06 

Upon the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), and in view of the continuing inclement weather brought about by Super Typhoon "Karding," work in government offices and classes in public schools at all levels in the National Capital Region, including the provinces in Regions I, II, III, IV-A (CALABARZON), IV-B (MIMAROPA), V, and the Cordillera Administrative Region, are hereby suspended on 26 September 2022. 

However, those agencies whose functions involve the delivery of basic and health services, preparedness/response to disasters and calamities, and/or the performance of other vital services shall continue with their operations and render the necessary services. 

The suspension of work for private companies, offices and schools is left to the discretion of their respective heads. 

This Circular shall take effect immediately. Manila, 25 September 2022.
