GOOD NEWS!  DEPED EMPLOYEES ARE ENTITLED TO A FIVE DAYS WELLNESS LEAVE!

 Assistant CSC Commissioner Ronquillo’s response to ACT’s inquiry regarding the application of Wellness Leave for DepEd teachers and employees

According to Asst. Commissioner Rinquillo, DepEd teachers and employees, like any other govt employees, are entitled to a three-day Wellness Leave.


Based on the above provisions, all government officials and employees are covered by the policy, and the same does not preclude those teaching and non-teaching government officials and employees under the Department of Education (DepEd). Since this policy was issued by this Commission, it shall be clear that teaching and non-teaching personnels under private educational institutions are not covered by the said policy.
