In a press briefing, Palace Press Officer Claire Castro said Marcos is expected to sign a document to formalize the release of the incentive.

When asked if state workers may already expect the SRI and when it will be given, Castro replied: “Hintayin po natin (Let’s wait).”

Castro, nevertheless, assured government personnel that the Palace would deliver the “good news” once the document is released.

In Dec. 2024, Marcos issued Administrative Order (AO) 27, authorizing the grant of SRI to qualified government personnel for fiscal year 2024, including teachers and military and uniformed personnel, who each received PHP20,000.

Details on the specific amount and the scheduled release of the SRI this year will be announced once the AO is issued. (PNA)
