Year-End Bonus – A benefit given to government employees equivalent to one (1) month of their basic salary as of October 31 of the current year. It serves as an additional income provided at the end of the year.

Cash Gift – A fixed amount of ₱5,000 granted to all qualified government personnel, released together with the year-end bonus as part of their annual benefits.


Malacañang says President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. orders the early release of government workers’ yearend bonus and PHP5,000 cash gift.
 
Palace Press Officer Castro says over PHP63 billion has been set aside for the yearend bonus of civilian gov’t workers and uniformed personnel while PHP9 billion will be allocated for the cash gift to 1.85 million gov’t workers nationwide.
 
The Department of Budget and Management says the yearend bonus may be received by government workers “early November”, pursuant to its earlier budget circular ordering the release of yearend bonus and PHP5,000 cash gift with the first agency payroll of November.
