What is the PBB?

The Performance-Based Bonus (PBB) is part of the government’s Results-Based Performance Management System (RBPMS), designed to encourage efficiency, accountability, and high performance among government workers.

Who is Qualified?

All DepEd teaching and non-teaching personnel are eligible if their school, division, and region meet the PBB requirements.

Qualification depends on:
-School performance (e.g., accomplishment of targets in the School Improvement Plan)
-Individual performance (based on IPCRF rating)
-Compliance with documentary and audit requirements

A SARO (Special Allotment Release Order) is an official document issued by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) to authorize government agencies—like DepEd—to obligate funds for a specific purpose.

So, when the SARO for PBB is released, it means:
➡️ The DBM has approved and allocated funds for the Performance-Based Bonus.
➡️ The DepEd regional and division offices can now process and release the PBB payment to qualified teachers and personnel.
