PBB (Performance-Based Bonus) for teachers in the Philippines is a monetary incentive to reward high-performing Department of Education (DepEd) personnel for their contributions to achieving key education goals. Eligible teachers must meet specific requirements, including a minimum service period and a satisfactory performance rating, to receive the bonus, which is released by the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) upon fulfillment of necessary conditions. 

What is PBB? 

A Performance Incentive: PBB provides a monetary reward to government employees, including teachers, based on their performance in achieving departmental goals and commitments.

Goal: The objective is to motivate higher performance, foster greater accountability, and ensure the achievement of targets in the education sector.

Who is Eligible? 

Service Requirement: To receive the PBB, an employee typically needs to have rendered a minimum of nine months of service during the fiscal year.

Performance Rating: A minimum "Very Satisfactory" performance rating is required.
