EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 10 

Series of 2025

AN ORDER IMPLEMENTING PUBLIC AND PRIVATE SCHOOL CLASS SUSPENSIONS IN QUEZON CITY ON JULY 28, 2025 IN VIEW OF THE STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS ("SONA") OF PRESIDENT FERDINAND ROMUALDEZ MARCOS, JR.

WHEREAS, Section 16 of the Local Government Code states that every local government unit shall exercise the powers expressly granted, those necessarily implied therefrom, those necessary, appropriate, or incidental for its efficient and effective governance, and those which are essential to the promotion of the general welfare of the people within its territorial jurisdiction, and the public in general;

WHEREAS, President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. is scheduled to deliver his Excellency's State of the Nation Address ("SONA") on Monday, July 28, 2025 at the Batasang Pambansa Complex in Quezon City;

WHEREAS, the residents and students of Quezon City may be hampered by road closures which will affect both motorists and the riding public;

WHEREAS, the residents and students of Quezon City are enjoined to listen to the SONA of the President of the Republic of the Philippines;

NOW THEREFORE, I, MA. JOSEFINA G. BELMONTE, City Mayor of Quezon City, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do order:

SECTION 1. SUSPENSION OF CLASSES. Classes shall be suspended in all levels for both private and public schools in Quezon City in view of the State of the Nation Address of President Ferdinand Romualdez Marcos, Jr. All residents are enjoined to listen to the SONA of the President of the Republic of the Philippines.

SECTION 2. IMPLEMENTATION. The Office of the City Mayor, through the Philippine National Police, the City Department of Public Order and Safety, the City Traffic and Transport Department, City Task Force Disiplina, and all other implementing offices, as may be authorized, are hereby tasked to assist in the implementation of this Order, and strictly adopt and implement security measures.

SECTION 3. EFFECTIVITY. This Order shall take effect immediately upon signing hereof.

All orders, circulars, issuances, or directives inconsistent with this Order are hereby rescinded or repealed accordingly.
