Vice President-elect and incoming Education Secretary Sara Duterte said on Monday that President-elect Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. has ordered a review of the implementation of the K to 12 program.

Duterte-Carpio said that proposals to abandon the K to 12 program should be discussed thoroughly.

“It cannot be decided overnight. It is something na napag-usapan din namin ni President Marcos and he already gave instructions with regard to the review of the implementation of K-12 program of the Department of Education,” she said.

Duterte-Carpio pledged to continue the programs of her father, President Rodrigo Duterte, particularly on the benefits of teachers.

“Actually the Duterte administration did something about that so we will dovetail from what the Duterte administration did for the welfare and benefits of teachers,” she said.

“So, titingnan natin paano natin ma-push ‘yun kung ano ‘yung mga accomplishments galing sa administration ni PRD,” she added.
