PASIG CITY, Abril 19, 2022 – Bilang pagsunod sa Office of the President Memorandum Circular (MC) No. 96, na nag-aatas sa lahat ng ahensiya ng gobyerno na sumunod sa 100% onsite workforce, naglabas ang Kagawaran ng Edukasyon (DepEd) ng updated work arrangements ng ahensiya kasunod ng pagpapatupad ng Alert Level 1 sa karamihan ng mga lugar sa bansa.

Ang inilabas na DepEd issuance ay alinsunod din sa Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF) Resolution No. 163-A, na pinamagatang Guidelines on the Nationwide Implementation of Alert Level System for COVID-19 Response, na nag-aatas sa mga opisina at ahensiya ng gobyerno na nasa Alert Level 1 na sumunod sa 100% onsite workforce, habang ang off-site work ay sasailalim sa mga alituntunin at regulasyon na inilabas ng Civil Service Commission (CSC) at ng Office of the President.

Batay sa DepEd Memorandum No. 029, series of 2022 o ang Work Arrangements in the Department of Education during the Imposition of Alert Level 1 System for COVID-19 Response, kinakailangan ang 100% onsite reporting capacity para sa lahat ng tanggapan ng DepEd.

“We see the 100% onsite reporting as an opportunity to improve the implementation of our multiple learning delivery modalities, through a more efficient supervision and monitoring of the proper use of learning modules and online platform,” ani Puno ng Edukasyon Leonor Magtolis Briones.

“With this, we can facilitate school-level activities such as learning action cells, coaching and mentoring, remedial classes, and parent-teacher conferences," dagdag niya.

Sasaklawin nito ang lahat ng teaching at non-teaching personnel, kabilang ang contracts of service at job orders sa lahat ng opisina, paaralan, at community learning centers (CLCS), na parehong nagpapatupad ng face to face classes at distance learning modalities.

Samantala, ang remote at flexible work arrangements ay maaaring sundin at isagawa, alinsunod sa CSC MC No. 18, s. 2020 at DepEd Order No. 11, s. 2020, depende na rin sa umiiral na COVID-19 alert level sa lokalidad kung saan matatagpuan ang mga opisina, paaralan, at community learning centers.

Dapat tiyakin ng mga pinuno ng mga tanggapan at paaralan ang pagbibigay ng kinakailangang suporta at kagamitan, kabilang ang koneksyon sa internet, sa lahat ng tauhang nag-o-onsite upang maiwasan ang pagkaantala at pagkagambala sa paghahatid ng mga serbisyo sa pangunahing edukasyon at matiyak ang pagsunod sa pamantayang pangkalusugan at pangkaligtasan.
 
Sa kabilang banda, ang mga tauhan na nahawaan o close contact ng isang maaaring mayroon at kumpirmadong kaso ng COVID-19 ay hindi kinakailangang mag-ulat sa trabaho at maaaring mag-avail ng excused absence o mag-Work-From-Home (WFH) arrangement.

“As our personnel go back to our schools and offices, we want to ensure their health and safety. We enjoin field officials to provide the necessary support they need for the success of our learning delivery to our children," saad ni Kal. Briones.
