Sen. Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa introduced a bill that would pay public school teachers who are stationed outside of their home cities, towns, or provinces.

Under Senate Bill 432 or the proposed Distance Incentive Allowance for Public School Teachers Act, public school teachers who will be assigned to a city, municipality, or province outside of the city, municipality or province of their place of residence shall be given P2,000 monthly allowance.

Those who will be assigned to a city or municipality of another province will be given an allowance of P4,000.

Dela Rosa said that there are situations wherein teachers are assigned outside their place of residence which comes with additional transport expenses.

The senator said that he introduced the measure to increase the trust and confidence of public school teachers in the state by providing them additional incentives.
