With the continuation of distance learning in schools nationwide due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Education (DepEd) intends to shift from printed self-learning modules (SLMs) to digital versions of the learning materials.

Education Assistant Secretary Malcom Garma said that with the environment cost and inability to be sustained of paper use as it is consumable, such move of digitizing printed module contents will be handy in anticipation of storms and floods.
